Why I picked thisThe standout here is outdoor space you rarely find in an apartment: a private terrace of about 350 m2 on the top floor, looking over the pool towards the sea. It sits in a small condominium with a pool, 300 metres from Alvor village and 700 metres from the beach, with air conditioning and a parking space. Right in the middle of your realistic budget.
Some listing photos have been virtually furnished with AI, so the interior needs seeing in person. One bedroom only, and a terrace this size needs some upkeep.

No lift to the second and top floor, energy rating D, and at EUR 370,000 it sits above the comfortable range unless you finance closer to 80%.

Why I picked thisA quiet first-floor apartment in a small building of only eight, with a terrace opening straight onto the communal pool. The big plus is a spacious rooftop terrace with panoramic views over Rocha Negra and the sea. The beach and the village centre are both about a 5 minute walk, and a garage space is included.
The sea views are from the rooftop rather than the apartment itself, as the balconies face the pool at the rear. No lift.

Why I picked thisComfortably within budget, which leaves room for the purchase costs. A furnished one bedroom with a terrace looking over the pool to the sea, in a building with lift, pool, garden and garage parking. It already holds a short-let licence, useful if you want rental income when you are not here. Três Irmãos beach is a 10 minute walk.
Energy rating D, and the sea view is over the neighbouring buildings rather than front line.

Why I picked thisThe most affordable option here, in a well-kept condominium known for its large gardens and a big pool with a children's area, plus a communal roof terrace. Bright and in excellent condition, sold furnished, with a basement parking space. Alvor, Prainha and Três Irmãos beaches are a short drive or a 20 minute walk.
At 53 m2 it is compact, with a kitchenette rather than a separate kitchen.

Why I picked thisIf a proper resort is what you have in mind, this is it: reception and concierge, three outdoor pools, an indoor pool, spa, gym and daily maid service. The balcony looks over the pool, the marina and the ocean, Praia da Rocha is about a 10 minute walk and Alto Golf is 2.5 km away.
This is a tourist development, often sold with a rental programme, so we need to check how freely you can use it yourself, the running costs, and how banks treat it for a mortgage. It is also outside your first choice of Lagos.

Why I picked thisA third floor apartment with a spacious balcony and open views, a small extra room that works as a study or guest space, a communal pool and a large garage space. Alvor beach is a few minutes away and the Penina and Alto golf courses are close by. Well within budget.
The listing says open views rather than sea views, so I would check exactly what you see from the balcony before you travel.

This apartment does not have use of the building's shared pool, which is on your wish list. One bathroom only, energy rating D.
